Talent Contracts
A talent contract defines, in detail, the working terms, conditions and agreements between “the talent” and the agency hired to represent the talent and vice versa. These working terms and conditions include, but are not limited to, rights of ownership, royalties, earnings, etc. As an artist, by signing a talent contract, you ensure that the agency works diligently in your behalf and only takes the agreed upon share of earnings. As a talent agency, a talent contract details your expectations of the talent’s conduct and payment, so the working relationship runs smoothly.
The following folks generally need to be working under a Talent Contract:
Actors
Managers
Agents
Musicians
Stage Performers
Disc Jockeys
Producers
Models
Screenwriters
Athletes
Even for more experienced artists it’s important to have a lawyer review and negotiate a talent contract, but for new artists, it’s a must. Certain clauses such as “test option” provisions for unknown players need to be thoroughly negotiated and understood. As for the more experienced, Richard David Lom negotiates aggressively when it comes to fee services, performance rights, pilot options, serries options, credit placement, non-compete and escape clauses–just to name a few. Allow Richard David Lom to put his experience to work for you.

tESTIMONIALS
"Dead Air" Dennis Dillon
On his cell, at the airport, during the Covid-19 virus, Richard stepped up and I was in his office 24 hours later. Amidst all the variables of each case there abides a comprehensive knowledge, and a thoughtful calm within the four walls of that office. I now know why several of my friends recommended him. When I needed immediate assistance, considerable legal advice and personal peace of mind, I got it!
Jason "Monkey Boy" Phillips
Understanding the law isn’t as easy as they make it seem on TV. That’s why when I received my latest contract from my employer, I came to see Richard. He translated all of the lawyer-speak and presented it in a way that even a guy that works in radio could understand! He even made recommendations on changes that would benefit me in the future. Everyone needs a attorney like Richard on their side.
